The process begins with the skeletal framework called Ghaat, followed by Paadh during which wax is poured into the framework to mould into the design. Following is Khudai, where the stones or uncut gems are fit into the framework. Meenakari involves enamelling the details, which is then followed by Pakai, which involves cold soldering of gold foil onto gems which are finally polished as a part of Chillai.
